Timing and Capacity

The private tour runs 90 minutes per ~50 students.  We can accommodate up to 120 students at a time (two back-to-back time slots) with additional activities in Waterfront Park.  Max students per 90-minute time slot is 60.

Pricing and Donor Funding

  • Ticket price is $15 per student.
  • One complimentary chaperone per 10 students.  Each additional chaperone is $15.
  • Boxed Lunch is available for an additional fee.
*We currently have limited funding for Title 1 Schools through our Field Trip Program.  Qualifying Title 1 Schools attend the program at no cost to students or chaperones.  Transportation may be available dependent upon additional funding.

Where

The Senator John Warner Maritime Heritage Center is located on the East side of Waterfront Park.  The Center is ADA compliant with 2 restroom.  Due to the historic nature of the ship, Providence herself is not ADA compliant.  Please let us know if you require any special accommodations and we will do our best to show all your guests as much of the tour as possible.  The dock is covered and provides some protection against sun and rain.

Availability

See the calendar below for available booking slots.  Each 90-minute time slot can accommodate a maximum of 60 students.  If your group has more than 60 students, be sure to reserve two back-to-back slots to fit everyone in.

How to book

Please Read Before Booking!

1.  Select an available date and time from the calendar below.  If you plan to book more than 60 students for this program, select two back-to-back time slots for your group.  Back-to-back sessions will be combined with additional activities.  We recommend local elementary schools to book 10:30 or later.

2.  Based on the expected number of students and chaperones in your group, you will be given a cost estimate.  Payment is NOT necessary in order to request a tour slot.

3.  After submitting your request, your booking is NOT yet confirmed.  Our education team will reach out to you with additional information and next steps, including contract and payment.  We may need to adjust your time slot depending on availability and the number of students in your group.

4.  Once your contract is signed and payment is received, you’re booked and ready to go!  Keep an eye out for additional information from our education team as we get closer to your trip date.
